Hugs, Artie. I think it should be obvious that if you're worried, then you want support, not his acting like you're being ridiculous for being anxious about it.

I prefer to do things like go to mds/tests alone - other people are not comforting to me (they try- I just don't find them useful and it is worse to take care of them). When I was the support for my person - I needed her to tell me what she wanted and there were things that others did better and she had to ask those people for those things (we all agreed on who and what -but it was hers to do)

Has he had the inside tissue of his penis scraped out and is he as nonchalant about a stranger inserting a curette into his urethra? This attitude that women's bodies are easily accessible and that even the most invasive procedure is no big deal is abhorrent. Its entirety possible for him to help you manage your anxiety without minimising your feelings and bodily autonomy. It's a big deal Artie and I hope you can find some compassion from someone who understands.
Thanks for this!

thanks comrade i appreciate that.

p.s. i can just picture his reaction if his doctor told him he needed to do that to him. he would be screaming malpractice or something I'm sure and trying to bully them out of it.

I just read something in an email that kinda emptied my brain out in a good way - about making yes/no type decisions - "If it's not a clear yes, then it's no." It was like fresh air blowing through my brain and sweeping out a huge chunk of indecisiveness about L (I want to go back. No, I don't. yes, I do. No, i don't ad nauseum) and I feel very good again about stopping. I really like how that feels to me. I don't know if it really applies to non-yes/no decision, but for this, it works, and it feels good. I hope it lasts and I don't fall back into my ******** wishy-washy second-guessing of myself.

oops break's over. I went late so I'm all off kilter haha

I think at age 75 you can get out of it just by requesting, iirc.

Hey dont make me older than i am! Im not quite old enough to run for president!

Moo, i would too, but you have no idea how full of arseholes this town is! I admit im one of them, but no match for any of them. You would not believe the women-haters around here. As mark twain said, because the dividends(?) are so paltry.

Oops, wasn't trying to make you older than you are, una! Rather, trying to give you something to look forward to I guess.

I shall going forward refer to h as "His Peachness". Especially since he is being extra-peachy today.

I bought one of those snake toys for Penny, it reacts to movement and starts zooming around the floor - my friend has one and her cats love chasing it - but Penny's afraid of it! She's hiding under the bed now and won't come out.

Morning couch. I'm worried about h again. He still has this ongoing abdominal pain (.5 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst) that he's had for a couple of years now, about a year ago the dr did a full workup of tests including CT scans, etc and everything was normal; they concluded it was muscle-related since he drives so much. But this morning he told me it had started getting worse while we were in Oregon but he didn't say anything because he didn't want to ruin our trip, that it is now closer to a 1, and he said he is staying in bed all day. I'm going to call the dr on Monday and try to get him in soon. I'm not sure what to do until then. Meanwhile, the hospital called yesterday and I'm scheduled for my pre-op testing this coming Friday. I wish I didn't have to worry about him too right now, but I guess such is life...

You can take him to A&E if it gets worse.
