I found a (poorly reviewed) eating disorder center that's actually open in my state even though my therapist said all the ones in the state were closed, but the problem is it's 50 minutes away. If I manage to get my electrolytes balanced I could make the gas money, but idk if it's worth the drive considering literally all except one review is one star. My case is beyond the scope of my Community Mental Health Center and I've been told if I want treatment I have to go elsewhere (my therapist wanted me to go to Mass!!! that's 1.5 hours south!)
There's also a really really good one an hour away. I'd have to check if either of these take my insurance first of course. __________________ [Insert thought-provoking and comedic quote here] |

How many reviews total does the place have? If it's under 10, I'm not sure I'd put much stock in them. The other thing is, people are much more likely to post a bad review than a good one (well, depending on what it is, I guess). Or one like "Well, it was fine." Were they just stars, or were there written reviews? If written ones, then I'd see what they're saying. If they all say a similar thing, I'd put more stock in it, depending on what that is. I'm just thinking how I've been to some (medical) doctors that had a bunch of bad ratings, and I was totally fine with them. And there have been others that everyone rates well that I disliked.
However, if it's an hour to a really good one, then I think it would be worth the 10 or so extra minutes each way. I guess it also depends on what your insurance covers, like you said. Hope you can find one that works for you. |

So my insurance will only cover the one in MA, but there's a virtual program for that place. Not that I'd be looking forward to spending 6 hours straight on the computer without music and being able to get up every 5 minutes...
I'm so sick of this shyt but at the same time I'm terrified of "recovery." __________________ [Insert thought-provoking and comedic quote here] |
