Hi. Everyone,

Three months ago I decided to get some online therapy. I did find a trauma therapist online. We chat in text form online through out the work week. It's been going very well. The therapist really is understanding and helpful.

I did hear from my trauma therapist a while back and it seems like she is still waiting to see if she will get her job back I miss her so much. She has been honest with me and hopefully in the future she will be able to do therapy.

My husband is not well and that has been tough for me to deal with everyday. My online therapist is helping me cope better.

That's a small update from me.

@Taylor27 Thanks for the update. I am sorry your husband is not well. That must put a lot of pressure on you. That can be unsettling to say the least.

I am a caregiver for my partner and it is a challenge and I continually need to watch my thoughts and feelings so I do not fall in to reacting to them and their situation.

Glad you have the online therapist. My own self care also includes adrienne's complete beginner yoga and five minute tai chi as well as walking and eating healthy.

Hope you get the support you are looking for.

I was resisting online therapy for the longest time, but I am really enjoying my new online therapist. She has been so helpful to me.

Thank you @CANDC hopefully I have done this correctly. It's been hard I think the hardest part for me is realizing that my husband may never be the same as he used to be. I feel like part of me is still in denial. I have Mild Cerebal Palsy.

My self care is eating healthy, tapping, journaling and excercise walking, bicycling.

I hesitated for a long time getting some online therapy. So far the experience has been good for me. I like my therapist as well. She has been so helpful for me too

@Taylor27 you did that right!

It sounds like you have a good self care routine. Keep up the good work and don't let it slip.

Letting go is the hardest thing I have ever done. I always thought of grieving as something you do after someone dies but as it turns out there is something called anticipatory grief where we start grieving when we realize someone we really care about is not going to get better. It is not something you can tell most people about because they are afraid of death and grieving.

My partner is not going to ever be how they were before. I just hope they will not decline really fast, but even if they do I try not to dwell on the loss but what we still have today. A gratitude journal has been a big help. What do I have to be thankful for today.

@CANDC That is the hardest part letting go. I know that when my husband started having health issues 17 months ago I started grieving and feeling very anxious. These feelings have not stopped. I hope me and you and everyone else who is going through similar situations can still enjoy everyday and take one day at a time.

Self care is pretty important to me.

@Taylor27 I hear you one day at a time.

I still try to find something positive as we share a hug or talk about something or just smile at each other.

Do you have someone who can watch him so you can have a few hours off and do something outside the house or are you finding leaving the house challenging?

@CANDC No I don't have anyone coming in to help right now. My husband is in denial and it's been hard. I am friends with our roommate so is my husband and he has been helpful. Leaving the house has been a challenge due to my anxiety.

@Taylor27 I hear you. The world is a jumble of attitudes and moods when I go out in it.

How do you feel online? Does that help fulfill some of your socializing needs?

@CANDC I feel safer online it does provide me with allot of socializing. I find going out at times can be too much for my anxiety it's overwhelming. How do you feel when you go out?

@Taylor27 I hear you.

I like the feeling of getting out of the house but going to crowded places like the supermarket is a little unsettling. I like to get out in the sunlight if only out into the yard.

I sometimes feel friendly in the supermarket but others do not always reciprocate.

What activity do you do that you feel there is less anxiety than at other times?
