Ah - I rarely app anything. For some reason, I dislike apping.

I think I was struck by the phrase "useless dollars in rolled quarters" - I mean how are the dollars useless if they are money that can be deposited back into the bank.
I have been grading student exams. Reading so many of the law school student exam answer equivalence of "It was a dark and stormy night...." has taken its toll.

Useless dollars in rolled quarters. = oops thought these were tokens that could only be used by the washing machine.

I'm sorry, ATAT.

I hope you still get the captioning if you say no (I'm trying to be polite here...) to the interpreters.

So do supermarkets.

But stopdog, why are you trying to talk sense to ex-hankster? You know that dog won’t hunt.

I hadn't considered it that way--I'm sorry. I was just thinking maybe they'd misunderstood your request somehow. They do sound incompetent, so withdrawing is likely your best option. Maybe you can find something similar that is competent and accommodating.

It bugs me when people don't consider what they're offering properly.

I went to an origami workshop about 10 years ago at a local health food shop.
I rang beforehand to ask about access.

'There are 13 steps, but you'll be fine.'

I got to the venue to discover a slatted staircase, with gaps in between.

When I needed to use the facilities, I had to ask one of the waitresses to assist me down the stairs.

Possible trigger:

After I turned red, they remembered that there was another staircase.

Beautiful picture, Artie.

I'm grateful for people who can take pictures and stay upright, because I have to choose one or the other.

The problem with interpreters is also that I don’t know ASL.

So it's the equivalent of them offering a Spanish interpreter when you only know French. Not helpful at all.

We drove over to the coast today, to the uppermost corner of Oregon, walked out on a jetty not far from where the Columbia river enters the ocean. And we saw whales! 3 of them. The closest any of them came was about 100 feet from where we were standing. It was amazing, one of them was huge, looked like he was about 40 feet long. My son and his gf had not seen any whales yet so it was double exciting seeing them with him today! Here's a pic of one of them, verrrrry close to the jetty.

I fell asleep but the youngest of the spawn got pics- mid-Willamette Valley. He said it was nice but not much to look at. His person could see the colors better than he could and the phone cameras picked up lovely purples.

They are visible here. I am not a big astronomy person and I completely lack the awe gene so I looked up, didn't think it was interesting and then went back in. Some people seem to like taking photos and posting them from a popular museum here
