That's good you have the insurance and that it was prepared by a tax preparer at a company. I believe they have some sort of legal responsibility for it. It doesn't seem fair if you'd be in trouble for credits your professional tax preparer suggested. Had you done your taxes completely on your own, that might be different.

H is having his second hernia surgery in about 2 hours. He had to leave super early (his dad is driving him), I woke up to see him off, and now I don't think I can go back to sleep. I'm seeing Dr. T at 9 am--thankfully, he was able to move me to an earlier slot once we learned Monday that H's surgery was starting at 7:30 (I'll have my phone out in case of any updates). I wanted to be sure I'd be home when he arrived.

I'm a bit anxious about the surgery (it's not laparoscopic like his last one was) and also about how D will manage this morning, as she's also anxious. And upset that he won't be the one to put her on the bus. Hoping he'll be home before she is at least--for the surgery in January, school closed early due to weather, and it was all a bit of a mess. So, wish us all luck!

Sending all the hugs, LT.

I hope the operation goes to plan, and that your session is useful.
I hope D can adjust to this change.

Take care,

Lost

Thanks, Lost! He just got home a little bit ago--operation went well. Dr. T was also helpful--much of the discussion was about politics (there was a presidential debate last night) and also, randomly, what dating is like now vs. when he and I were younger (he included, "It's a reason to not get divorced!" in there). It helped distract me, which I think is what I needed. Plus was connecting.

Then, at the end, I talked a bit about H and what he means to me and D. Which clearly touched Dr. T, and he said I actually should tell H that. I'll try to figure out a way to do that after he's off the painkillers.

Oh, and D did surprisingly well this morning without H here. Fingers crossed she continues in that path.

The fires are close to us. Three towns over. They're actually right where we used to live. We're just hoping they don't come our way.

Okeydoke! Got my quarterley haircut - went for the "broccoli" cut - shaved sides and back, longer on top. The top is barely half an inch tho. Its a journey.

Weighed myself. Even tho i am not exercising daily, i think i am exercising more days than not in a week, and i am eating more vegetables. So i am down a few lbs, which is good. Altho i might be speed-losing muscle and speed-gaining fat, idk. Still, feels positive.

This reminds me of when my partner was in hospital for a small surgery and I got him afterwards: first he apparently called my mom while I was on the way to him to tell her I needed to bring milk... for whatever reason. Then when I got there and he told me he was thirsty, the nurse was exhausted and told me how he'd already asked for water 20 times and just needed to wait a bit longer. Was a weird day.

That's odd about the milk! I do think anesthesia can make people thirsty, so maybe that for the water part?

Is "broccoli cut" an official name? It does sound like broccoli, from how you've described it. Do you like it?

And that seems good about the exercising and better eating.

I've already met my step goal for today. Walking up and back from the corner (we're at the bottom of our street) twice for the bus helped some--right, I also took out some extra trash to the corner in the morning on a separate trip to a different corner. It all adds up. I just need to continue with it. If H is doing OK in the morning, maybe I'll do a short walk after she gets on the bus.

Yes, broccoli! I must have heard it on the internet somewheres. I have liked it a long time but never knew what it was called. My new hairdresser knew exactly what i meant.

Have you tried the stuffed vine leaves and alternative feta cheese?

When I was in a hot place I would try to get everything done in the early morning then come back indoors for the hottest part of the day. Unless there was air conditioning available.

Reverting back to your youth?
And gender bending = "You’ll soon see the broccoli cut on a much larger screen; Clark Kent sports the look in the upcoming “Superman” movie, set to be released in 2025."

"Teen boys all seem to want a ‘broccoli’ haircut. What is it?"

Couch Workout Club day 43

Walked around town, but wasn't there long enough for it to count as exercise.
So I did two sets of my 15 minute seated boxing workout, and somehow achieved my step goal in the process.

I imagine walking around town really helped with the step goal--and I'd count that as exercise.
