Thanks for those tips. I think the problem is less that I can't talk to him about it and more that I can't even face him leaving internally. It's like I've got my head stuck in the sand and I need to pull it out, but I can't. Intellectually, I know he's leaving, but I'm having trouble accessing the feelings about it because it feels too big to deal with. I hope that makes sense.

Practice grounding yourself before attempting to confront your feelings. .
