If your therapist were a dog what kind of dog would he or she be?

Mine would be a chocolate lab.

LOL

Golden Retriever, no doubt-loyal, protective, can have a rather loud bark, but only uses it when absolutely needed, and I'd have to say aesthetically they're similar (in terms of hair color hahah)

Mine would be .... a Shitu because she is petite and engaging, but not hyper. My step-daughter has a cool Shitu that follows you around but is content just sitting next to you. It will accept your attention but doesn't demand it. If you ignore him he just finds a spot nearby and sleeps until you want him. I also like that my T doesn't have the annoying tendency to continuously bark like some little dogs.

Oh this is fun but I didn't say why my T would be a chocolate
lab--well, he's big, laid back, kind and sort of the earthy type. I think of him as a protector.

If your Therapist was a dog

Can't you just hear him saying how does that make you feel?

he's not a big guy, but he has intense eyes (which i just discovered after a year sheesh)... he's quick, nimble and very energetic about what he's doing. He has an energy about him.

Oooooh, this is fun! Mine would be some kind of shepherd mix, not purebred, maybe with border collie or aussie shepherd blood. He is loyal, smart, warm, and kind of scruffy. My T rates kind of high on the scruffiness scale!

Awesome thread =)

Totally American Mastiff (no drool like the English Mastiff)

Giant size and forbidding appearance; a worthy watchdog. She is a creature of habit... does not bark senselessly, but if a stranger approaches, the American Mastiff will be there to determine whether he is friend or foe. They are accepting and non-aggressive to visitors. However, the American Mastiff is very positive in his expression of protection, and it is in a stranger's best interest to pay attention to her… she is fierce, courageous and selfless. She displays dignity rather than gaiety; protective but not aggressive; quiet, calm, loving, kind, gentle, and loyal.

That said, my t’s eyebrows do not have that “What’s wrong” look, but more of a Spock, one eyebrow down, usually both knitted together, “trying to figure things out” look. lol. SHe is large boned and looks intimidating, especially since she is almost always frowning... first I was considering a boxer... but I think this is more fitting for her.

Probably some sort of pale coloured mongrel, about the size of a spaniel. I get no sense of a person, so a fairly non-descript sort of dog.

This is the best thread....

Since I just started with a T, I don't really know what he is like yet.

BUT, if I had to choose I would want a corgi...Small, but really smart, and loyal and they have the sweetest eyes. Oh yeah, they are stubborn too, so that would mean T would not give up on me.

I think he'd be a St. Bernard because he rescued me from myself.

My T would be a Weimaraner. The following quotes are some characteristics of the dog breed (and T).

"Happy, loving, cheerful, affectionate, very brave, loyal, and a natural protector."
Perfect match

"Intelligent but can be highly opinionated."
Which is great, as long as his opinions coincide with mine

"The Weimaraner needs attention and companionship."
T gets plenty of that from me.

Some Instructions on care:

"Spend a lot of time on short leash walk, next to you."
Hmmmm, I haven't tried that yet.

"Bathe in mild soap only when necessary."
At least twice a day
