Hi trippinmickey, I'm sorry you do not like your new therapist. It is important to have the length of the appointment well established or misunderstandings between T and client can occur. The standard therapy appointment is 50 minutes. Can you clarify with your T how long your sessions are supposed to last? And if she repeatedly shortchanges you, you have every right to bring it up. You are the client, you're paying for her services, you deserve your money's worth. Your post sounds really focused on meds. Maybe you are only getting your meds from this therapist and not psychotherapy? In that case, the appointment may indeed be shorter, but still best to clarify with your T how long it is supposed to last.

I think it is quite unprofessional of your therapist to be popping pills with you in his office.

Finally, remember you are the client, you are the customer. You can always take your business elsewhere if you really don't like this therapist.

Sounds like it. Pdoc only keeps you for a few minutes, and would be the one prescribing meds. T's don't prescribe.

I'd find a new psychiatrist to prescribe your meds. You don't need those shenannigans when you are serious about getting better. TC
