At my T's office there are 2 people in the front office. There is the main secretary and when she takes messages my T always calls back and when the other person takes messages my T doesn't call back. Well Thursday wouldn't you know the main secretary wasn't there and the other person was taking messages and I really needed to talk to my T after our session. So I ended up having to email her which isn't such a big thing but I wish I could have actually talked to her and heard her voice. I will be glad when the main secretary comes back and hope she is back when my T comes back from vacation.

Maybe you could tell T about this situation and see if it would be okay in the future if you could email T and ask her to call you?

I could not stand communicating with the office manager at my T's office for 10 months. I didn't like having a middle man screening all communications. It wasn't that she was mean or incompetent, I just didn't want to have anything to do with her. I finally forced myself to open a dialog with her when a billing issue came up. Although at this point I still do not feel comfortable calling and leaving a message for my T, but I can at least now call and deal with scheduling and billing issues.
