Bad session....was so low and horribly depressed. Barely talking and lacking energy. At end she asked if I wanted to pray with her, I said no. She asked if I wanted her to pray for me. I said no.

So she said "Im going to anyway. Wanna know why? Because I think you deserve a better hand than you've been dealt." I know shes a rebel deep down.

I am not MissBoots, Sunrise, and I hope you don't mind if I share how I found out about my last T, I just asked her. I told her I was a Christian and I would want my therapy to be biblically compatible and then asked her; she said she was not a believer want me to pray? but we worked with that (or I did).

The new one I have now is Jewish which is fine I think she does practice her faith. For me it was an important question to have answered at first visit.

Thanks, Olivia. My T believes in a God but we do not share the same religion. It has not affected our therapy (negatively) at all. I really like when he shares something with me from his religious tradition, so perhaps this difference between us has even been enriching.

My T said something like whoever god is a he or she. I knew right there if you aren't sure God is male then you do not believe in the Bible. With that being said I am open to other religions like Jewish or Muslim. My hubby is muslim.
