I started having pain in my tush that my doctor believes is sciatica so I went to an acupuncturist. It is helping but it is also bringing up old body memories; memories I have dealt with and thought were worked through! My acupuncturist said this is normal and to be expected. I love how quickly the pain is resolving in my tush and leg but I really could do without the flashbacks.
T had suggested that I talk to acupuncturist about using acupuncture for emotional release since I have such a struggle with anger. After all these years of stuffing it, it is hard to even know that I am angry at times. sighhhhhhh. I sort of surprised myself in being able to tell her that I had been abused and molested. Actually the abused was easier than the molested. I tried to hint at it more than actually describe it. She seems to get the ideal.

(((((((((((((((((((((((dalila))))))))))))))))))))))))) Even though it's scary, it sounds like you have found something to help you heal even more! How brave of you to open up about what happened to you.
I'm glad the sciatica is feeling better....will you keep going to the acupuncturist for the emotional stuff? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

She said I need another 7 or 8 treatments to stop hurting, so if we can address the other stuff that is cool. Scary but cool, I want to heal - I want to get beyond my past and start on the future. Therapy has been a long hard haul. Someday I will be whole and move on, and perhaps if I keep on plugging away I will get through this.

I remember (thinking of the anger release) the night my mom came home from the accupuncturist after having a Golden Needle placed in the top of her head - it was like a volcano! All this anger came pouring forth!!! I guess it really helped her, but having a way to positively vent the anger is good, rather than any family you may have!!! It definately worked in releasing those pent up emotions!!!!
