It seems like every time I go into see my pdoc he accuses me of something. I posted on here about how my pdoc annoyed me last week or so but I was just thinking... the very first time I came in, he asked if i isolate myself and I said "sometimes" and then he pointed to my T's notes and said "T says you isolate a lot. Why are you lying to me?" I wasn't lying!
Then last week we were talking about meds (I haven't taken mine in about a month because they made me feel so much worse) and he said "It's obvious to me that it doesn't matter what I prescribe, I can tell you won't take it anyway" and I was so mad! I am very open to meds, i want to feel better! SO I told him "I have nothing against meds, I just don't want to pay for or take meds that don't work!" But he didn't listen to me.
I am so frustrated!

Time to find a new pdoc. Thats outrageous! If mine treated me like that I would be gone.
Thanks for this!

I have been hesitant to see a new pdoc because I see mine through my university so he is MUCH cheaper. But I suppose it will be worth it to find a better one.

Wow. Yeah, he seems to have made up his mind and is unwilling to change... are there other pdocs at the university? Can you switch there to someone different? Might be worth a try. Or just go elsewhere, but definitely find someone who is willing to work with you rather than just "waste time" without trying to get to know you or find a way to help.
Thanks for this!

I actually just read an article today in my school's newspaper that we have hired a new pdoc for next year! An additional one, my pdoc will still be there. Maybe I can see about switching over to him.

Definitely see about switching. I think if you explained your experience with current doc they would be more than willing to let you switch.
Thanks for this!
