![]() I'm stupid, stupid, stupid. Of course I had genuinely believed I had mailed the forms into the insurance company. So I guess I have shot myself in the foot!!! I'm being totally self destructive towards my treatment and didn't even know it.

Ok, let's start with the basics - you are not Stupid - say it with me and then think of how many times you have sent them in -
![]() Could there be another explanation other than self destructive ones? Maybe you got busy and thought you sent them in...beyond that is it really helpful to beat yourself up over something that is so easily fixed? ![]() Maybe I am being too personal in asking but doesn't your therapist send them in? Just asking b/c I asked my insurance company who sends them in and they told me it should come from the therapist. |

Hi EJ, I agree with DB you are not stupid--and you should go ahead and jump on this band wagon. ![]() Perhaps you were too preoccupied with other things and forgot to send the forms in? Or maybe you just got so busy you really thought you submitted them...but that's neither here nor there. What you have to do now is see what you have to do to fix this and get the bills paid. Can you still submit the forms? I suggest you hop on this task ASAP. Figure what bills have not been submitted and figure out what needs to be done. I agree with DB also in the fact that I thought the therapists are supposed to send in the bills??? At least that's how it is for me... Best Wishes ![]() ![]() |

EJ
Can you just send in the forms now? Clean slate, don't worry about what happened before, just move forward. I bet you can get them in and get reimbursed by April 1 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

EmilyJeanne, you're not stupid, it's just a plain hassle to send in all the paperwork to the insurance company. I know not all therapists bill insurance and I sure know why--because it is a major hassle! I spent about 4 months trying to get reimbursed for my therapist from 2 different insurance companies and never got a penny out of either of them. So I gave up on that. I'm just starting the same kind of thing with my daughter's provider. You just got to be organized and sit down and do it. You usually have about a year to submit claims to your insurer and get reimbursed, so hopefully you will be OK.
The difference between my 2 therapists and yours, is mine make us pay the day of service. Then we can seek reimbursement from the insurance company straight to our own pocket, if we want. The therapists are out of the loop and like it that way. They never have unpaid bills from clients because they don't send bills. You must pay at the time of service or no service. I think your T is really nice to let you have sessions on credit!
