Most of u know that i have been having transference issues with one of my t's. There is this look she has been giving me that is just a blank look. It makes me feel like she thinks i am gross and selfish. I just stuff it. This friday night i broke down and started spiraling. I called and started leaving a message about that look and in the middle of talking i decided she has done so much to earn my trust and that i needed to trust her that she does not think that and not allow my body to spiral and throw up get hives ect. It took alot of energy to not spiral but i did good. She called me and is so proud and said that the look is prob her thinking what she could say to help me feel better. I still have pain from the triggor but she said we can work on that and also in emdr. Wow its a big leap toward healing.

It is great that you caught yourself in the middle of a self attack and reversed course. It is also nice that your T saw this too and reinforced the self catch. Most important is this fact that YOU are recognizing your progess and turning that self attack into a self acknowledgement. It is nice to know we can do this.

wow, good for you!!

I have managed to stop a spiral like that before - by remembering all of the things T has done for me to show that I can trust him and that he cares - and it feels so, so, so good to have the POWER to make the scary spiral STOP.

I know those looks still feel triggery, but now you can work on how they make you feel, and give yourself even MORE power. You are doing so great
