thanks guys. Im sorry. Im fine. I was all over PC trying to figure where to post and then I started the thread here and posted it and then decided I didnt want to post it so I got deleted it right after. sorry.

I had some crazy dreams. they weren't my normal dreams. they were of a younger me...waaay younger....in my childhood bedroom. someone was hurting me.

i dont ever have dreams like that--of little me. I had them back in sept/oct and then on friday/saturday.

Im debating on whether or not to tell T...Im not into analyzing dreams. to me dreams are just a form of entertainment while you're sleep...but these dreams were not...I just don't want to tell T, if it was just a dream. Im not telling her. I will wait...

I dont know I have convinced myself that that person was NOT me..and they were just dreams....

Im sorry, I dont want you guys to worry...I wish I hadn't even started that thread....

I actually just shared with my T about a similar dream that I recently had, I had the same exact one once when I was younger.
This dream was so real, and I was also a child in it being hurt. I am always and adult in dreams that I have, which made that was so different, and it was only one scene not all over the place like other dreams that I have.

If you get the nerve, I would suggest you share it with you T. I know its not easy to do, I just told mine the dream as if it was just a story but inside I was feeling really sick. I was glad to let it out.

She seems to think there is a possibility of the dream being real, something that really happened, as I don't process this stuff during the day because I try to keep myself very busy to avoid that. She believes it's coming out in different ways. I think she is correct but I wasn't about to tell her that. I didn't want to admit what was happening may be real because it was too painful.

Just some thoughts, you certainly don't have to share it with her but it may help to talk about it some.

T said this to me recently when I started processing childhood stuff and having lots and lots of nightmares....that I am avoiding stuff during the day, but my brain still needs to process it, so it's working on it while I'm asleep....
It's a tough situation, because during the day, I need to be present and available and functioning for my boys, so I really CAN'T process stuff very much...but I don't like nightmares, and don't feel rested when I wake up. I'm not sure how to find the balance. T thinks it's a matter of time - that I will just go through a rough patch while we are working on this stuff in bits and pieces in T. Blah!

As an aside, my concussion seems to have completely wiped out ALL of the reasons I started going to T!! I'm not dissociating at all, no memories of the past are haunting me, I'm not triggered by much, etc. It's so strange. I'm sure it will all come back eventually, but it's nice to have the break. Not that I would recommend a concussion to anyone!!!! LOL

Thanks for this!

Nightmares can be really terrible. I go through periods when I have a lot of them. I don't have any advice on what to do, often I engage in less than constructive ways to deal with my nightmares, but there does seem to be an ebb and flow to them. I do welcome the times when I can say "I had the craziest dream last night!"- I do enjoy the night-time entertainment types...

LLT, When I started talking about my experiences.. I started to have strange nightmares too. I didn't tell my T about them for a long time. Mainly because they were too strange to explain. Also, I was embarrassed to be dreaming weird stuff that had my body flipping out.

Anyway, in hindsight I probably should have told my T about this earlier. She asked a lot of questions about them. I don't think I explained them very well but, it helped. I'm not sure exactly what happen but after I discussed this with my T, they seemed to occur less and were not as dramatic. I don't know it why.
