I live in a town of 1400 and we have two counseling centers (small ones). The next nearest town is seventy miles away. My husband is paranoid about me going to therapy in this town, he would rather I made the drive every couple of weeks. He doesn't believe that they will maintain confidentiality and we have some other traits (like an open marriage, lack of religion, sexuality) that he thinks might be more of a problem in this town which is a little more conservative than the next town. Has anyone experienced issues with this? Is he just being paranoid? I don't really mind the drive but its so much easier here, I'd be less likely to make up an excuse to not go.
