This is on the Blog part of Psych Central today:

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’” –Mary Anne Radmacher

This has been a hard lesson for me to learn. That is, I always felt if I was weak and got defeated it meant I had no courage. That's what I was taught -- failure was a moral disaster. It's taking a long time to think that maybe I can come back from defeats. Even very big ones.

If you had never had to face fear then you wouldn't need courage, therefore it takes a great deal of courage to face fear. You have great courage pachyderm!

Thanks Pachyderm, for posting this. It is a good concept to keep in mind.
The only real 'failure' would be if we were to stop trying.
Never give up!

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.

Yes there is no option but to come back from defeats. Its not how many times we fall down, its how many times we pick ourselfs back up again.
