This is on the Blog part of Psych Central today:
“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’” –Mary Anne Radmacher This has been a hard lesson for me to learn. That is, I always felt if I was weak and got defeated it meant I had no courage. That's what I was taught -- failure was a moral disaster. It's taking a long time to think that maybe I can come back from defeats. Even very big ones.

If you had never had to face fear then you wouldn't need courage, therefore it takes a great deal of courage to face fear. You have great courage pachyderm!

Thanks Pachyderm, for posting this. It is a good concept to keep in mind.
The only real 'failure' would be if we were to stop trying. Never give up! ![]() |

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.
