Advice is probably going to be dependent on a bit more information.

What is it that you did? Well, I guess I should say what is it that you would like to do and what are you trying to avoid?

As a most basic advice, set a few achievable goals in a direction of a long term goal you set. That method of leapfrogging simpler goals to larger ones has always been a benefit to me.
