I know this is going to sound really really lame, but......I am meeting an old friend from high school this evening. there was never anything between he and I just friends. We talked about a bunch of getting together the last time I met up with two other people I went to high school with. We had a blast. We this guy and I are meeting tonight. I tried to invite the other two that we hung out with, but prior commiments. I don't know why I'm nervous/scared/shy?? I think it is because I am shy and I don't strike up conversations easily. I'm afriad that it will be a bust, but yet in the back of my mind I know it won't be, but. I'm always nervouse when it is one on one and with the opposite sex. It isn't like I have an interest in this guy. I don't even know him, expect from what I remember from High School. Did talk to him briefly today. ( I had to be the one to call him. He told me to call so I did. Usually I have them call me.) That went well and I was ok with it.

now as it is nearing the time that we are due to meet I'm freaking out.....Why????
Thanks for this!

I might make a good example of what not to do in these things. I'm not so great at 'em. But I've been pondering the subject a lot lately. If it were me, the fear would be because I knew that to make the thing even possible, let alone work, I'd have to drop a lot of defenses, barriers;etc. I'm used to them. But I'm coming to believe that the ONLY way out is through. You have to open up some. So, what have you got to lose......loneliness? Best of luck!

Thanks ratanddragon and vickie in phoneix!!!

I have to say everything went much better then I expected!! I was a little nervous was my co-worker left and it was just this guy from high school and I, but it was like 20 years hadn't passed. It was great and now feel kind of silly for worrying so much. That is a big flaw of mine.

Thanks again
