The situation is long and complicated, but here's the shortest version I can give you. . .

My husband and I are barely making it financially and my mother was going to live with us for a while to help us out. That meant transferring to a different location. At first they said there was a possibility, now the location out here is saying they aren't taking transfers.

I haven't seen my mom in over a year and we were both looking forward to spending time together. She was also going to take that time out here to legally separate from my father. They have been only housemates (not even roommates) for years now and she wants to be on her own for a while. This would have given her and excuse to leave for a while at least.

We are making other arrangements to help us financially, so I'm not really worried about that. I'm more upset that we won't have that time together and I can't help her in this very rought time in her life.

Guess I just wanted to vent, thanks for letting me do that.

It always feels good to let things out . your Mom is lucky to have a good daughter like you. It very tough for many people right now including me. I have saved alot on groceries by shopping at lower end(not poorer quality) stores and watching for sales(buying several at a time). For example I love those mini pecan tarts - they are $5.00 at the fancy store and the exact same brand is $2.99 at the lower end store - same product!! I hope it all works out for you, your husband and your Mom.
