1. By not being girly enough

2. Being too shy/anxious

3. Being too headstrong. (got out of a progressively bad bordering on abusive relationship; bad for him, good for me).

4. Being too Dependent (my dependence had grown as my previous BF had worked to get me all to himself under his thumb which left me vulnerable to bad friendship decisions; being too idealistic).

5. Being too Lonely
(One night stand)
6. Being too Romantic
(Got swept away with man who didn’t see me as anything more than an SF highlight)
7. By getting drunk/being too depressed (I'm not a saint, but I'm still a good person, don't judge being getting to know me.)

8. Being too open. (met some real dirtbags).

9. By being too jaded (Rather avoid the headache beforehand; leaves me missing out on a lot in life)

A few ways you scare guys away? Then I expect you likely will not be found lacking for scare tactics. Without intending to be offensive, my first thought upon reading the list was this quote from Churchill: "I cannot forecast to you the action of Russia. It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is Russian national interest."

But then, if you do not protect yourself, who will?
