How do you teach a s/o how to deal with your disorder without feeling "babied" or "abandoned". I want him to play a role, but even I can't define it. I love him, but do I have to be alone forever because of my ED?

Hello, reflections84. Do you have a therapist? If so, you s/o might attend a session or two to learn more about what you are dealing with.

I'm not currently in any therapy or treatment because I lost my health insurance ... which is probably part of my huge downward spiral .... so I don't know what to do .. i bought him a book ... gave him an online support forum for s/o ... i dunno

I think buying him a book and showing him an online support group is a good idea. I think it's good you're sharing this with him. Hopefully this will provide you with some accountability. I wish you well in your healing.
