I have this guy. he is been there for me in everything. he is been very supportive. I've known him for 5 years. we dated for two months. then we became friends. I got married to somebodyelse. then got separet from my husband. now we are dating again. he said all the things any girls would want to hear, from living toghether, to marriage, kids, buying house. he would tell me everything he is doing as long as I can know related to his son and family. before he starts doing anything, for example whether he should renovate his house, or keeping it or buy another one. he always value my opinions. but there is one problem. he is now 36. he dated a girl when he was 17. i guess his first love. she left him. and he let me know that he can ever be in love with anybodyelse again. he can only tolerate someone enough to marry her because there is one true love in life. when i told him i cant be with him for that. he told me what i need love for if im getting everything i want. what do you guy think?

This is a tough situation because I think every woman wants to hear the words "I love you". At the same time you say he's good in every other way and you're compatible at least. When you think about it sometimes people marry for other reasons besides love -money, looks etc but they don't broadcast it. I think a person can fall in love more than once. I can understand how it's a major turn off though. Play it cool for now and continue being friends.

Welcome to PC by the way

he used to tell me he loves me everyday. at first i never use to answer him. them i said it back. however i never said it first to him. one night we were talking for 2 hours and we hang up. he called right back and said" you can't tell me that you love me" I said: i'll say it when im ready. However, i did love him but wanted to make sure that he really loves me, and don't just say it for somethingelse. at the end of the day, im so happy i waited to take that step.

You will never be happy if you love him but he says he can't love you. You will not get the one thing you want and that is love...isn't it?

Only you can decide when it comes down to it. I have a good friend who married under the same circumstances and now after 2 sons and 20 years she is trapped in a loveless marriage that she can't get out of with any money or with any dignty because the husband has tied every dollar up in such a way that if she wants to leave she must leave with nothing...

But as I said in my opinion you are the only one who can decide...
