My mother has destroyed my life and i don't know how to cope nor recover from all the awfull things she's put me through the last 11 years. Im at breaking point as i only have her as the only emotional support and she has mentaly been torturing me.

Hi, Alisa, welcome to PsychCentral (PC).
Sounds like you need to get out, meet, and talk to other people. Being with just one other person or alone with ourselves is not healthy (as you have learned). It might take awhile and is hard work but can be done; invent a new life that doesn't include your mother as much (or at all if you don't like).

Hi Alisa - welcome to PC. Are you still living at home and are you a minor?? If you are still in school please talk to your school counselor or teacher. If you're older and not living with your mom - you may need to distance yourself or at least establish some firm boundaries to protect your mental health. You don't have to suffer alone and please tell someone.

I've read all of your posts and I honestly think you should check yourself in as a patient to er. Your Thoughts of S, not leaving your apartment for days and your thoughts are all over the place. I can read the desperation in your posts and you do need help. I know there are no free therapists etc but if you were in county type hospital you would get treatment and you would feel better. I do know what mentally and emotionally abusive mums are like, I had one until she wemt too too far and I just walked away. I had to take some responsibility for the way I was allowing her to treat me. But I have another support person so that was not too hard for me to do. You on the other hand don't have that. So if you take your self to the er you may well find a t who can help you and then find an advocate. I wish you luck with this, please let us know how you get on, Rhiannon

You are in my prayers, sweet girl. I am so sorry that you are feeling this way. I too have a problem with depression and I know that even tho I hate to go to work every day..... when I have too much time off and not enough to focus on... I start to spiral down. Do u have a job.. or school... or something that requires that you get up and be somewhere at a certain time? Also, if you have to deal with the public on your job.... although it will sometimes make u crazy... it also seems to keep your spirits lifted a little because you are usually trying to put on a happy face. Sometimes doing that helps you to fake it till you make it. None of your posts say anything of your situation or anythng about you. So, I have no Idea, what really to suggest because I dont know if Im talking to a child.. adult... or whom. I hope u can find somethng to focus on with a schedule that will require u to get out of the house. I think it may help.
