I met a man about six weeks ago who I've become very close with. That's been pretty rare in my life, and we're both working hard to ensure our relationship is clear, healthy and loving.

I think it's working -- yesterday, he found an old electronic box I got at the Sharper Image some years ago, where you put two fingers on its sensor pad and it measures the electrical current going through your body, displaying your stress level with a pattern of lights and a high- or low-pitched tone. We started playing around with it, and I found that my high-pitched anxious high-stress normal state would start dropping down into full-on blissed-out calm the moment I leaned into him.

We kept experimenting, and it would literally change by my just looking at him from across the room.

This is probably why my long-distance relationships never worked out. Maybe I should try Skype?

Thanks for this!

A healthy relationship and a close relationship can make a world of difference. Unfortunately if things go downhill it can trigger even more symptoms. Therefore I hope you continue to experience a positive reaction from this man
That story about the electronic box is so cute!
