So I'm learning more and more that our neighbors are flat out insane. For the first 4-5 months we lived here they wouldn't even acknowledge our existence. We would wave and say hi and they would just ignore us so we gave up trying to be nice. Then one day the girl actually stopped and talked to us for a good 20 minutes which was totally out of the blue. Went from not even a 'hi' to a life story in 20 minutes which was a little weird.

Then the guy stops one day to talk and he stutters pretty bad but I didn't think anything about it until he starts giving me his life story. Apparently he is a massive stoner (says he smokes 8-10 times a day) and all of a sudden recently he started getting very anxious and nervous while smoking so he got prescribed Xanex specifically so he could smoke pot and not freak out (that's not what he told his doctor of course).

On top of that he said he is prescribed Ritalin. They have 2 kids together, one if probably 7 and the other maybe 18 months. They have come by to play with my cats and are really sweet kids. But the guy talks about smoking pot around them, drinking all day, going out to the bar at noon and not coming home until midnight. He smokes pot in the house around the kids. He talked about getting arrested multiple times for having a lb. of weed on him.

So.......all of that said they came over today. About 5 years ago a guy died in this house (it's a duplex with a shared wall) and they are convinced his ghost is haunting them. They say that every neighbor they have moves out after only a year or so and they are having a ghost hunting team come by next week to test their house for ghosts. He says that he sees him and hears him all the time. Then a couple minutes later tells us that he was recently diagnosed as schizophrenic and psychotic. He starts rattling off all these meds he is on. And he keeps coming over asking if we want to smoke pot with them.

I feel sooooo weird around these people now. I wish they had just kept ignoring us. They are freaking us out really bad and they said that they have asked every neighbor before us if they had seen ghosts in their house. No crap everyone moves out! We have gone from not knowing one thing about our neighbors to knowing everything I described in only a couple weeks. I honestly do not want to live next to them anymore. It's like every time they come over they drop another bomb on us.

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention that he says his schizophrenia is due to a steroid addiction he had in high school. I'm not trying to be judgmental but that is a lot to take in in a couple weeks! It's to the point where if they walk by I take my phone out and pretend to be on the phone so they wont stop and talk to me. Jeezie petes!!!!

I don't want to report them because, if they are as crazy as they seem, there is no way they will go to jail for weed and they would obviously know who did it. Then I put my life, and my boyfriend's, at risk over some pot. I am not trying to make our schizophrenic, psychotic neighbor angry at us.
