What are the odds a person who you liked 4 years ago suddenly decides to make a fb and add you.. and only you? This person didn't like you 4 years ago, you were friends, but not that close, and didn't talk very much. In 4 years you haven't seen or spoken to each other at all. I asked my friends, and they said they would do that if they still liked them.. but I personally don't believe it's possible to suddenly decide you like someone you haven't seen in 4 years.. especially if you dated their best friend and had crushes on every other girl besides her.
He was never really interested in talking to me, nevermind dating me, and he didn't put even a fraction of the effort I put in trying to talk to him. Why would he go out of his way to make an account just to add me only because he suddenly "thought of me"? I'm a little paranoid about ex-best friends playing tricks on me as they often do by pretending to be other people. I'm suspicious but since talking to him these suspicions went down, but now I'm only confused. So what are the odds he's actually who he says he is and his reasons are correct.. or am I'm just talking to my troll of an ex-best friend? |

I suppose it can be hard to tell whose who. About 3 months ago I added about 10 high school friends who I haven't talked to in twenty years. If by the posts and pm's you can't tell enough to put your mind at ease...just end the fb friendship. Remember it's just facebook.

I suppose there is no real answer to this problem, but any input is appreciated. |

I too am an overthinker so I know how you feel. If you delete him now and he really wants to connect with you, he'd find a way to. Just see how it goes now that you've added him. If it's uncomfortable or any communication between you both is just not to your liking, delete. |

Of course there is. Request to meet him in a public place. If he shows up, he isn't lying.

I wish I was one of those people who could just say "nope, not interested, good bye" but in fact I am very interested in catching up if this is genuine. But the possibility is so high that it's fake that it makes me uneasy. |
