I've never had my kids tell me I'm not welcomed some place they are, although we're pretty careful about where are kids go without our supervision. We don't give our kids free rein to go wherever they want. That's just too dangerous for us; just asking for trouble. If they go to someone's house, we must know the other family first, and if we are uneasy with the other family, we might have that child come to our house so we know there will be supervision. That's just common sense. We don't want to make our kids into social recluses, but they will be supervised and safe. We've always encouraged our kids to be involved in church and school activities such as band and choir. Many of their friends are involved in those same groups and we know them well.

Are you talking about GROWN children? Mine are both grown and on their own.
My daughter belongs to a Lodge that I don't belong to, but she asks me to come along frequently. But since I don't drink, I usually refuse. LOL I have no REASON to be in a "bar" because I'm a recovering alcoholic -- and there's no point in tempting fate! LOL But my kids don't go anywhere where I am not welcome. At least not to my knowledge. LOL And if they did, it would probably be someplace that I wouldn't want to go to anyway. LOL God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee |
