Had a really intense talk with my wife/partner/gf/SO.
I explained to her I wasn't feeling very happy. And I thought we were not really benefiting from a healthy, strong relationship.
I even got brave and told her I thought we should separate and see if we started dating again would help. She doesn't want a separation.
Yes, she deals w/ issues of OCD, abandonement. She likes to get everything out on the table while I hold back and am afraid to confront the real issues.
Anyway...we are going to try and work it all out. Try to understand where each other comes from in our ways of coping w/ hurt, anger and stress and accepting we do not cope in the same ways.
And...COUPLES THERAPY....we agree it is needed every week until we can clearly see improvement. Now, we just need to see if we can get on a weekly schedule for it.
So...just wanted to update my situation.
Thanks.
