I'm 24. I have a 3 year old and I work with females who are nothing that I want to be around. They are nasty, sleezy, dirty, back stabbing, trash talking women. Any time not spent at work is spent at home with my daughter and boyfriend. We go and do things all the time together.
So when you're new to a town... Kinda... How do you make friends in times like this when you don't like the people you work with? Maybe I just don't like the world... But how do you make friends out side of work? Any tips or clues? The boyfriend says I need female friends to talk about makeup and things with... lol he's something else. Thanks for any response ![]()

You could try some "mommy" oriented activities- play groups, story time at the library, or just saying hi to another mother at the park. Also, you could take some sort of class like yoga, dance, or even one offered at a community college. Other ideas- join a support group, go to church, search for interesting clubs. I know one women who is a member of a dog walking club and they get together at nature parks and walk. Most clubs and support groups can be found listed on the internet.

Try looking at meetup.com for groups near you with interests you share. They have just about anything you can imagine based on activity, interest, age, gender, you name it. Or you could even start your own group. Note: I do not work for them. Hope that helps.
