There's a guy who loves me ... I like him, but now I'm going through a period of many questions and doubts... I'm not even sure what I'm going to study in college, and I don't know if I can stand being in a relationship where I don't love him. I don't want to hurt him, he's a great guy and makes me feel good, but I don't know what to say 'cause I don't want to loose his friendship ... or should I try and go out with him? Help! I'm so confused!

Since he obviously feels more for you than you do for him, I think I'd gently tell him that now isn't a good time for you to try to sustain a relationship -- that school is too pressing & you want to focus on that. Just tell him that you value his FRIENDSHIP, but that's all you can handle right now -- friendship. You can tell him that perhaps at a later time, you'll feel differently.

It's best to just be honest with him so you don't "lead him on." Best of luck & God bless. Hugs, Lee

You need to let him know that you consider him a good friend but you're not in love with him. Being with him in a romantic relationship just because he loves you would be damaging and unfair to you both. In the end you would end up resenting him and lose your friendship as well.

It may be you won't stay friends so that he can move on, but perhaps someday you will be friends again. It is better to be honest. I know this from experience.
