I really need advice. I've become really close with this other person (as friends), we have loads in common and both have issues (we understand each other) and her mother is awful to her (telling her she is worthless and thick etc) and she has to travel hours every weekend to see her (because of court) and told her that she didn't want to (today) anymore, and they fell out and now she is severely depressed and self harming. She has depression and this isn't just typical teen angst but i can't write it here. I talked to her on facebook and text and I rang her because I'm really worried. She said she wouldn't do anything extreme but she has attempted 5 times and is saying she wants to end it all. I'm so so scared, if she so much as hints that she WILL I will call someone. I'm terrified, please help?

It sounds like you are doing everything you can. You're a good friend. Just keep calling her.
