Awwww... thanks for thinking of me heather. Actually... I think he dumped me before we ever went out. I'll be really surprised if he shows up tonight. Ah well... that was my fling for the decade! I think I'm celibate for life

Well, if this guy did "dump you* before th edate, you're probably the better for it. The last thing you need is a jerk and I've most definately decided from our talks that he is definately that, for the lack of communication on his part if nothing else.

But all is not lost, for things happen sometimes when one is not even looking for it to. One never knows - you could meet that special feller tonight because that guy didn't have the tase or nerve to follow through.

And hey, YOU'RE a special gal yourself so go and have a GREAT time tonight. Have some fun - just don't make us come and get you out of jail! If we do, we're sure to start calling you a jailbird <giggles>

Love ya sweetie,
Sam

Thanks Mr. Sam... HUGS to you too!
He didn't show up.... just as I anticipated. No harm done... just a little mud on my face to have an empty chair instead of the date I claimed to be bringing. I sat with one of my favorite doctors and his wife. We had a delightful talk and then I left early and came on home. No wildness for me tonight... LOL! I'm sure the rest drank enough for me. I'm not sposed to drink anyway... meds.

Thanks for the support sam and heather. Sorry the news was not brighter.

I am glad you were able to have a nice time with your friends anyways. Wishing you luck Willow I am sorry it didn't work out but I am a true believer in things happening for a reason. There is definitely someone out there that is worthy of you hun. You are too special.

Can I say that he is a total jerk? It is his loss that's for sure.

Yeh... unless he's laid up in the hospital unconscious... there is no reason I can think of that he should have stood me up.

Thanks heather *HUGS*

Wow Willow,

I missed this one altogther. All I know is that any guy who passes up a chance to spend time with you, and not call to explain is________ (insert derogatory comment here), and doesn't deserve your company anyway. You've been nothing but sweet the whole time I've known you, and I can't imagine you being any different in person. A guy like this gives men a bad name, we're not all like this fortunately. Sorry you had to deal with a bad apple, you deserve better.

Much love,
bp

Thanks BP! Actually... I get very little attention from men. There's one out there that will match me though.

Your knight in shining armour is out there sweetie - You will find him. Picking a spouse is much like picking apples. In every tree, there are some rotten apples that have to be discarded.

And what a pretty face it is - the mud wasn't there, just in your mind. My thoughts are - I bet there were several people there, that had dates, wives, husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends, that they really wished weren't there. Far better to be that one who brought themselves, instead of those two wishing they were one. Know what I mean?

Love you,
Sam

Thanks for sharing Willow. Congrats for having a good time in spite of the fact that the fellow did a no show. His loss and perhaps your gain. Being single myself, I am still hopeful because I figure if I am a nice person, there are other nice people out there.

When I went to the salon last week my hairdresser's brother came in and we had a nice talk. It just reminded me that there are still some nice guys out there that know how act like a gentlemen. I like Sam's analogy about apples, if you find a rotten one, that does not mean the whole barrel of apples is rotten.

Even rotten fruit has a purpose, it can enrich the soil, hmmmm.... Bad experiences make us stronger and more mature I think.
