After finding out my bf was cheating on me I thought we could still work it out. I had him face the guilt of his actions of betraying me everyday until I got over my own pain. I wanted him to suffer as much as he hurt me.

I pushed him as far as I could to see how he would prove to me if he loves me or not and that he'll change. It only took a week of shaming, guilt and expressing my heartache that he couldn't handle it anymore.

He decided that its just better for us to be better friends. He was the one that wanted me to come back. He begged for me to come back. He plea for me to believe him that he'll change. He cried in hoping that I'll believe him that he loves me.

All I wanted was for him to prove to me that he loves me. I wanted him to show me how much he was going to fight for me. I guess i wasn't worth it after all.

Full of lies!! So foolish to believe in him. Now I only have myself and heartache to face. This is so painful!!

I think the knowledge to take away from this is that repetitively making him feel bad over his indiscretions by shaming him or making him "face the guilt of his actions" won't make you feel any better. He knows what he did, he knew it was wrong, and he knows that he hurt you.

He can't prove anything to you. All he can do is stay by your side and demonstrate whether or not he does change.

I understand that it's hard, and I would feel the same way as you if I were in your position. However, the damage is done. There's no amount of "I'm sorry"s that will help you feel better about this. It's not that you weren't worth enough, and I don't think he was lying to you about wanting to be with you. There's no healthy way to get revenge, though I do believe that you deserve the apologies and he should be open to discussing this with you.

I don't know, maybe you pushed him too far. Why would you shame him for a week?

Look on the bright side, he can't hurt you anymore and now you can focus on healing from this and move forward.
