I am falling in love with a good guy friend. I have had feelings for him for a long time but was in a realtionship until about 6 months ago. Since I have been single, all I think about it is how much I like him and would love to date him.
I have had feelings for him since the beginning of our friendship. While he is handsome, I wasn't attracted to him so much phyiscally as I was emotionally. The 2nd time I ever talked to him, I looked in his eyes and we locked for a long time. For the past year, whenever we talk, this happens. I swear I feel something but I could be blowing good eye contact out of proportion. How could I make up chemistry if it isn't there. It was nothing I wanted to happen, it just did and it took me by surprise.
I cannot keep this too myself anymore. I want so badly too tell him but I don't want to be rejected. He isn't so close of a friend that I would risk losing a big friendship and I also know he won't go gossiping to other friends about any of it. So, in that aspect I have nothing to lose. I am so afraid though. I don't how to tell him and need some advice. I wish their was another way to decipher his feelings for me before I go and spill my guts. I don't know how to read his feelings. I guess if it's all in the eyes then I have an answer, but then again, maybe he just holds good eye contact.
