No, not at all. If I cooked the meal, I am pleased to see someone enjoy it. If someone else did the cooking, I am indifferent.

It is actually part of being heterosexual for me - I like to feed men and watch them eat.

So nothing adverse.

Interesting question. Without any context it makes me wonder what brought this up? I don't know what you mean. Do you mean a specific person and how they eat? being in the presence of people eating in general? Mannerism? Does the act of seeing other eating disgust ? Elaborate if you can.

In general no.

Not usually, but if the person has no manners, is eating with their mouths open or making a lot of noise, or is eating in an inappropriate place (a doctor's office perhaps) I find it kind of nasty and it bothers me some. Want to tell them to stop.

No, unless I can see all their food, in their mouths or around it.

I dated a guy who once told me he hated eating with others, and even worse was dinner out at a pub or something. He told me after a date in a restaurant! Poor thing had been working hard not to let his hang up ruin the eve.

For many years I was actually very uncomfortable about being around people who were eating, regardless of their table manners. It sounds silly but I was very anxious and repulsed by the idea of saliva and digestion and all that. It no longer bothers me really but I still prefer to eat alone.

I am very particular about people's chewing. Silly, but. ... Lip smacking is my absolute worst "ear-grinding" sound, in any context really, but of course this is most common in eating. (Some people do it in their sleep and it's just as awful for me.) But, yes, that smacking noise... OMG. If I'm sitting next to someone doing it, I have to change seats or get up. I could flip a table during dinner, haha!

Yea I used to be sensitive to people eating in my presence. Not close friends but the coworkers I had way back.

We had this break room where people went to either have coffee/tea or eat their lunchbox. It really felt weird for me that a few were not eating and one was eating his little thing. For me it made me feel vulnerable on his behalf. I felt like he was doing something almost private, in the open, and I felt weird about it.

Now I have never felt the same if everyone eats like the same food at dinner, or going out. I only felt that is one person is the only one eating.

These days I wouldn't even reflect on it. But I was more sensitive then, about A LOT of things I oddly found very embarrassing, often things to do with being HUMAN, like eating, having needs, being sick, having emotions and so on.

I'm the same way about lip-smacking, I stew in a rage because I don't want to seem unreasonable or rude so I try to ignore it haha.

I can't stamd people licking their fingers or eating too fast.

Hm, now that I'm reading all of these things, I guess I really do have a problem with being around people eating sometimes, haha. I can't stand it when people shovel their food! You know...shovel, three chews no swallow, shovel shovel, chew chew, shovel, chew chew chew swallow? It puts me off my meal.

Now it does. When I see a person eating something that I find repulsive, say iceberg lettuce drenched in thousand island dressing, then I would rather not look.

Also, I am somewhat bothered when people drink coke or other soft drinks with good meals, because it is unthinkable to me how you would pair good food with soft drinks. So I am mildly disgusted.

Poor table manners / poor table etiquette bothers me. I am totally put off and lose my appetite if someone is shoveling food, smacking their lips or the worst for me...someone who eats with their mouth open Also, chewing meat off a bone really bothers me. Worse, when someone sucks on the/a bone after (gag).

Someone that does not utilize their napkin through the meal...uh oh...not appealing.

And finally, I try to be courteous when seeing someone eating alone. I might ask to join them simply to keep them company. Or if we are dining together, when I finish my main dish, I do not leave the table until my companion has finished their meal.

If I am dining out, I pace myself and will not signal the waitstaff that I am done (with my utencils on the plate) until my dining companion is finishing up.

And I feel as though there is always room for a coffee after a meal

(I sound like a dope)

come to think of it... I have never before been aware of it, but I enjoy seeing people drink their coffee or tea, just as I get a bit repulsed seeing people drinking soft drinks in combination with a good quality meal. Somehow when I see people drink soft drinks by themselves, it does not bother me so much.

LOL hamster, then you would hate eating with my husband. He has a little lettuce with his plate full of thousand island dressing.

He doesn't drink alcohol, so soda is often what accompanies his meals.

I can't stand to watch people eat on TV. In real life, I'm okay, but for some reason, when people are eating on TV, I can't look. Especially if they're only showing their mouth... bleck!
