Supporting someone through such a tough time, is exhausting. It's completely draining.
I cannot wait for the drama to be over with my partners ex. She is such a horrible, HORRIBLE woman. All I can do is keep spending time doing fun, kids things with the kids, since they have such other nasty stuff to deal with, with their mother. Kids shouldn't have to deal with grown-up stuff like custody. I'm so grateful my partner is such a great man. He keeps the kids out of everything as much as he can and since they are with us 80% of the time, it's good for them that way, but I know they sense the anger he's trying to hold onto ... from his ex. His son especially, he's similar to me, he's sensitive and picks up on emotions super easily. "A smooth sea, never made a skilled sailor" ... pretty good quote to think of when life is hard and crappy sometimes Just gotta stay strong. He's still the thoughtful, loving, kind, compassionate man I fell in love with, it's just a rough time, and we'll get through it together. I'm learning a lot about myself along the way, so that's rather fullfilling. Awesome to find the good part to a horrible situation, have to keep telling myself that! __________________ |

You are right. Custody fights always winds up hurting the kids. Be strong and keep showing those kids that somebody in there life is stable. Good luck to you.
