The season I've enjoyed long time ago is now the most saddest. I,m still single; too old to be in the dating game(I'm 37)NO FRIENDS!, and currently unemployed. This will be the most depressing holidays ever! It depresses me seeing anything holiday related. I guess the main reason is that I'm totally a loner. Since I'm not dating material it makes me sad my parents will never see me with a woman. And being unemployed I won,t be able to buy some presents for my parents. Don't know what to do.

Hi Stieg. Holiday times can be sad. Presents do not make the holidays though. If you have people who love you around that is very important.
Since I do not know you I do not understand why you say you are not dating material. Although without a job it is difficult to ask someone out on a date. Sorry but my best advise is the same thing I say to myself and that is that I try to count the things I am grateful for. A roof over my head, food to eat, your parents, family!!! Hope things get better for you soon

The good thing about holiday blues is that they are soon over. I understand your feelings and suggest maybe looking into some kind of work, or something to occupy your time in a healthy way.
Even if you can't afford gifts, you can do household things to help and bringing a smile to others, sometimes works for me to feel better. Counting down to Springtime over here : ) Sans |
