the only friend i had at all says she needs a break and is no longer talking to me. she said she didn't know how long this would last. she was an internet friend and now isn't going online. she says she has to get back to the real world at all.

Has there been things going on in her life that have caused more than usual stress for her? Often times people feel the need to break away from technology and attempt to have face-to-face interactions. Sometimes being in front of a computer device frequently can harbor more depression. Those are just some thoughts based on my own personal experience as well as from what I've discovered with others. Give her some time away. Try your best not to worry yourself and after a while try to contact her. I hope for the best for you. The world has a way of throwing challenges our way but eventually things find a proper place.

i understand why she did it, but i never would have done it to her. i would have talked about it first. now i have no one to talk to if i need help.

Sorry your friend had to step back from technology, but you can make friends here. You might prefer the chat rooms or the social groups, but there are lots of people on here looking for people to talk to, too. Not to mention just needing support.

yeah, i understand why she's done it. i think it's partially hurt me because she has real friends and i know i can't make friends. i've tried but i only fail. i just can't.
