Some time in the next few months, I am going to make the move to separate from my husband. This has to happen; I recently had a major PTSD flashback with him as the subject. I didn't realize I had so much fear built up over how he treated me when I was having real problems.
My question is this:I moved to Idaho about 18 months ago. I work from home and haven't really met anyone. I need ideas of support groups/shelters that I can seek out. I have to have somewhere I can go if it gets dirty. I may check out Al-Alon as a way of meeting people. My mom had a major drinking problem and even though I am divorced from her it gave me a lot of issues. In anyone what thoughts or ideas of nationwide groups or places to research, let me know. I really appreciate it. __________________ Maranara |

Being in Australia I can't offer helpful ideas - when I finally escaped my abusive ex I was helped to enter a women's refuge, which was very supportive, and later accepted invitation to a church group which led onto amazingly healing friendships etc.
But I would like to offer you my little bit of love and light to help you through the next week, and the next, and beyond ... __________________ "As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live." Goethe |

I'm faced with the same situation, having to leave, relocate & no support. It helps when you know people do care & there are others like us. I'm trying to start a forum under social groups. I'll send you an invite. Good luck
