I decided to tell my freind who is on a calcium crusade to get him to back off me with his new knowledge that I would do an internet search for him to find a buying source for the calcium he can not find in a store in area.
He said that would be great.
He will now be receiving many ,many catalogs.
That should keep him busy.
I thought that would get him to back off me.
But he turned into a calcuim monster thanks to a guy by the name of Carl Reich. My friend gave me many print sheets on the subject part of the book that he printed off.
If he pushed the subject futher I decided to tell him I will take into consideration what he has said and the next time I need to purchase vitamins I will consider his research.
Since I have stock piled good bargins it will be awhile and he hopefully will move on to some thing else.
He is giving many of his friends envelopes of information on calcium.
I read quickly over the part of the book he copied for me.
I found the depression connection my friend is making.
The book" The Calcium Factor by Robert R Barefoot and Carl J Reich summing up what he says the
Eskimo, Abkhasians ,Hunzas,Vilcabambas,Bamas,Azerbaijans,Armenians,Tibetans,Titicas with them "DISEASE DOES NOT EXIST" These cultures have no mental disorders.
Because the water is loaded with mineral nutrients from melting glaciers high in mountains and from disintegrating coral reefs. One quart of Hunza water contains 17000 milligrams of calcium. They drink several quarts a day.
So there it is.
I do not want to up set my friend by getting honest with him and telling him that he is being a pain in the neck.
It might depress him.

I had to laugh when I read this. I work across the hall from a vitamin shop. The guy who works there expounds loudly all day about how wonderful this and that is. The most recent thing he has been telling anyone who makes the mistake of looking sidelong into his shop is that the water we drink is "unstructured" and that is why people get ill. Their sick cells are surrounded by this "unstructured" water. He claims that the water is missing a molecule and the only way to fix it is to leave it in the sun all day and moonlight all night in a jar in contact with the earth then shoot quantum touch energy through it. Then it will be ok to drink.

What these people don't understand is that just because you read it in a book doesn't make it true. And the stuff you read that is true may not be showing the whole picture. For instance, just because the eskimos drink this heavy mineralized water and do not have mental illness does not mean that our taking lots of minerals will fix us. The eskimos also eat mostly meat and they live in frigid tempuratures. Both of which have change their matabolism so it is different from ours.

And remember when we found out that eggs were bad for us because of the cholesterol. Then they discovered that a large percentage of the cholestoral in eggs are actually the "good" kind so it is alright to eat them in moderation.

It is nuts. I think it is best said "moderation in all things." Thank you to whoever coined that phrase.

Poor Zen
Now I laugh at your misfortune to have to hear the water guy go on and on all day.
I wonder what he would think of our natural lithium well water.
We live on a place that once at had Hotel just up the hollar and this piece of ground was a cabin site in the early 1900's and the people came from far and took the dirt road in buggies and mules all the way up the mountain for the fresh mountain air and the Lithium springs water.

The Hotel burnt down in early 1900's and a lawyer owns the property and lives on a house over looking the whole county and across the other higher NC mountains into Va and Tenn you can see on good days.

I just have to walk up a steep hill for a few minutes to have the same veiw from the neighbors yards one being the lawyers. I can walk into his yard and parking lot to veiw.

There are bricks left from the Hotel fire.

I feel for the poor guy who is crazy about his water.
He must be so tormented inside can you image the guilt he has if he takes a sip of water from another source.

I bet he does not attract too many buyers of his idea.

I do not call my girl friend because I am afraid Mr Calcium will answer the phone.

Wow, I never got past my irritation to feel empathy toward him. My goodness he must be absolutely tormented. What a frightening life.

it would be very tempting to stand infront of your store and drink cheap bottled water to provoke the water nut on slow days.
but could be dangerous he might loose it and take out a water pistol.
some one would get wet.
