I'm a 19 year old male. I've always been fairly confident in myself and have had a fair share of girls be with me (never a serious girlfriend though). I don't sleep around below my standards just for sex or anything like that though.
Anyways, I went through a break up with a girl who was the closest thing I've ever had to a real, serious girlfriend maybe a month ago. Before this happened and even when i met that girl, I was super confident and thought I was very good looking and would grab the attention of others and everything. Now, I look in the mirror and I can't get my hair to look as nice or I have extra acne or something is just not the same. Is it just my lowered confidence after the break up, or am I actually not as good looking as I may have thought and been over confident? I've always been told I'm pretty good looking, but I can't see it. Is it just me? How can I regain my confidence? ![]() |

Hello and welcome to Psych Central!
![]() I am not able to see you, so I can't comment on your looks. But even if I could, then I might see you differently than some other women would. I suggest you try reading and posting in our self-esteem forum. Here is the link: http://forums.psychcentral.com/steps...r-self-esteem/. If your problem continues, then maybe a counselor could help you to get back into "the game." |
