My girlfriend asked me to go see her therapist with her tomorrow. She sees a therapist because she is struggling with depression, really hates her job and is controlled a lot by her parents. She is 29 years old and still lives at home. She doesn’t live with me because we recently got back together after breaking up and her moving out and moving back in with her parents two years ago, anyways things are pretty complicated, and she doesn’t want to move in with me just yet (might be because of her parents).
I’m a bit nervous about going to her therapist because there are so many things I would like to say but want to make sure that it is constructive and really helps her and not overwhelm her. Anybody been through something similar to this or anybody can give me some advice?
Thanks.
