I've despised my dad for years. For many different reasons. And I've wished for a divorce for years... But my mom and dad won't. I hate it. It's like living in HE double L... And I can't stand it.
Anyway. My dad has always been sneaky with his money and stuff. And now he is getting home really late. Like 9:45pm... And I honestly don't care if he has a mistress, but don't you think that is suspicious?

There could be many reasons for his coming home at 9:45 pm. What might some of those reasons be? Anyway - sounds like you have some strong negative feelings about him. What's going on that results in your feeling that you can't stand things?

If he has a mistress, you will hopefully see his being duplicitous, and, hopefully, stop caring so much about what your parents might think of your sexual orientation.

To be honest I think you should probably talk to your mom (not about the coming home late business because I agree that could be a lot of different things) about your dad in general.

Coming from experience, my dad was a sneaky a**hole who cheated on my mom with someone who was half his age. And unless you can get some sort of proof that he is cheating there really is no way to tell. For me, I actually met the chick and she was trying to get my dad's attention the entire time. And eventually in the company bills (he has his own company) there were suspicious items. But at the same time, it could be many things. He could be out gambling. Or hate being at home and go out drinking/playing golf/distracting himself.
