I think both my 'relationships' have been a step or half a step above '**** buddy' in terms of emotional and other intimacy. Is it too much to ask for someone who will actively love me and take care of me (at times)?

Hey Illegal! I am sure you have heard that it is important to love yourself first, then others can love you. I dont know why your relationships have not worked out or given you what you are looking for, but seriously you need to love and like yourself first. I think that would help you find better relationships in all areas of your life.

Hi Illegal--
I swear I am not trying to be obtuse, but did both of these other people in the relationships know what you wanted from them? Aside from finding someone to spend time, figuring out that you are on the same page with what you are looking for can be a challenge. There should be classes on managing all of this! ![]() |
