hubby and I are operating a safe house for a few of our folks in our group, one of the girls has been here 64 days after getting out of hosp. her case manager asked us to help with her, she has memory problems and forgets simple house rules, sneaks food, piles stuff on the stairs this is a fire hazard and an accident looking for a place to happen, I have started swearing a blue streak and this upsets Papa, we agreed to her being here until the end of January but you folks here are going to have to help keep me sane, PLEASE

I would start by reminding her several times a day of what the rules are. Maybe you can print them up for her?? Every time she piles something on the stairs make HER put it back where it belongs immediately and remind her of all the house rules.

I know that's crazy making but what else can you do with someone who had memory problems??

I hope this helps, Angie. Going Nutz

Sometime when I write something down I forget less about it. Maybe you could make her write down the rules she brakes each time and everytime and maybe she will forget less about it in the future. I don't know. It's just a suggestion.
