What qualities does a good best friend possess?

Why is your best friend your best friend?

What makes you a good best friend to someone else?

I don't think that depends on qualities. It depends on understanding, on trust, on complete one to another, on conect.
My best friends (I am lucky, I have several important persons in my life ) haven't any special qualities. They understands, support and I feel well when I am with every one of them.
But there are a lot of people with a lot of good qualities wich I don't consider to be my friends or one of my best one simply because we don't fit, because there is no connexion.
Thanks for this!

Someone who is willing to use whatever they have to join in your walk along lifes path, whether in front, alongside or behind you.
I lost my best friend to suicide 5 years ago now and the biggest hole he left wss someone who would listen whenever I needed to talk, accepted me for who i was warts and all and was nt scared to say and show he cared unconditionally
