I'm struggling a bit in making connections with people I meet. For example, I can go to an event, and talk to a lot of people. With some people they've added my Facebook...but that's it. Nothing ever happens. For some of the people I met, I've only added their business profiles on Facebook, but I can see that they have personal profiles that are 'friends' on the business page...should I add them? Or is that weird since they didn't add me with that page?
I know one guy added me, but he has 3 Facebooks, one for business, one with a pseudo-name he uses for his business and a personal one...when we met, he gave me his pseudo-name Facebook, and I'm still confused why he didn't add me to his personal account? Would it be too weird or creepy if I added his personal account? I constantly worry of coming across as creepy/stalkerish to people, it's a constant worry for me... |

I think you're reading into the facebook friends way too much. Don't overanalyze this and don't over analyze your behavior on FB. it's very widely used and people sometimes add others without any kind of thought being put into it. it's not a good guage as to whether you're more than acquaintences or anything.. I'd just leave it as it is and people that are interested in further pursuing a relationship or friendship will contact you somehow.
Also there is nothing strange or weird if you contact them on fb via messaging, after all they added you on their friends list. |

I know, I get told this a lot...I think I miss opportunities because of the fear of coming across as weird or stalkerish, even though I'm not either!
But if the person only added me using a pseudo-name facebook, would it be weird if I add his actual facebook page, I saw that he had another one and I felt sort of crushed because, why did he add me on the pseudo-name one and not the real one? Would it be weird to add him? |

Fact is, I have a couple of different email accounts. One is for business, one is for junk (companies that insist, if I'm to have their product, that I provide an email so they can bombard me with crap ads) and a 'psuedo' email for people I actually want to receive emails from. I'd just add your friend on FB based on where he added you. Later, you can figure out which he uses most often. Don't over think it, and don't feel crushed. I don't tell people that I've added to my 'psuedo' email, that this is where I need them to be because it indicates to me they are important. When I reply to their emails, I'm hoping that gets it across. They might wonder why they don't receive emails from my 'name' email. For a second. If they ask, I'll explain. They don't ask. We email consistantly without the need for explanation. Take care ![]()
