Ever feel like the only people who you consider friends are online? I don't have a single friend in the real world besides my boyfriend, and I hate it. I tried volunteering at an animal shelter to make friends, but everyone was 20-30 years older than I am. I tried Meet-Up, but all the interesting groups in my area are full. My dog has seizures when he's around other people and dogs, so no dog park for us.
My boyfriend has buddies he hangs out with, and I'm SO jealous of him. I've tried going out with him, but none of the other guys bring their women with them. It just sucks. I hate it when he goes out because it just reminds me of how terribly lonely I am. Anyone else feel that way? |

Yes I have felt lonely. Started doing hospice for people with 6 months to live. My own problems shrank quite a bit during that, but I was more prone to depression.
I did make some friends that way but it was sad to see them die. Do you ever read some of these studies? more people are spending more time online. For better or worse. Do you like painting or crafts? Take a class. Whatever you do or experience there is probably a group for you. Online yoga at youtube is fun. But the fact we are alone is hard to accept. But the other people feel that way too but their pain is not as close to the surface. The grass always appears greener in other's yards. |

Is befriending the GFs of your BFs buddies not an option?

Anything is an option but how much pain and suffering will it cause you and others?
