My mother found a source for free garden supplies. I wanted some too.
She refuses to give me contact info so I can do this on my own. Instead, she has made an appointment for both of us to go pick this stuff up. She won't even give me the address - she says I have to meet her at her office so we can go together! I am so tempted to tell her to forget about it at this point. |

Wow. I really, really really hate that. Mine does the same.

(((Hvert))) I almost think the only thing to do at this point is to take a step back and laugh. Because your mom is... you know... kind of crazy!
If you want to throw some crazy back at her... you could go to her office, but insist that YOU drive... tell her that since she's getting older, you're concerned that her cognitive faculties may be diminishing - but say it in a truly worried, concerned voice ![]() ![]() |

Sounds like a waste of your energy. Life is too short. I would just say "no thanks" and move on.

I will meet her at her office, but we are definitely taking separate cars! I think I'll wait to mention that until I get there

It must take a lot of patience to put up with this kind of stuff. I'ld also be tempted to say, "Forget it." I like gilloche's idea of throwing some crazy back at her. That made me laugh. It could be a real tension-reliever for you.

I wound up, completely not on purpose, being late to meet her. She changed the meeting time two hours before and I forgot I was meeting her earlier when it came time to leave - and then I got stuck behind a school bus. Guess she wouldn't have had to wait if she had just given me the contact info!
